Chuck Schumer is dropping the ball on regulating AI


A new legislative plan from a bipartisan group of senators outlines billions for AI research and development while passing the buck on regulation to various committees.

Google has open-sourced more code for Project Gameface, allowing developers to build Android applications that can use the hands-free "mouse" technology. Last year, Ilya Sutskever admitted that he regretted the role he played in the sudden dismissal of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and President Greg Brockman. As Google starts to make its latest video-generation tools available, the company says it has a plan to ensure transparency around the origins of its increasingly realistic AI-generated clips.
