CLion Is Now Free for Non-Commercial Use

CLion, a JetBrains IDE, is now free for non-commercial use! Learn more in the blog post.

Whether you’re a student, an Arduino experimenter, or someone who loves С and C++ with all your heart despite all the challenges these languages present, CLion is now available to you for free – as long as you’re not using it for commercial work. Note that while CLion now joins RustRover, Rider, and WebStorm in being free for non-commercial use, this update doesn’t apply to other JetBrains IDEs at this time. Common examples of non-commercial uses include learning and self-education, open-source contributions without earning commercial benefits, any form of content creation, and hobby development.
