CMG pitch deck on listening to your conversations to target ads


Consumers have long worried their devices are listening to them. A newly leaked pitch dek from a large media conglomerate seems to imply that's true.

Most states have some form of wiretapping law that restricts the ability to record a person without their explicit knowledge. The pitch deck also claims that Cox currently partners with major tech platforms, including Google, Amazon, and Facebook. Some of the companies listed in the deck seem like they are a little bit wary of the legal ramifications of Cox’s “Active Listening” product.
