Comcast's Xfinity opts customers into data retention, including sensitive personal information, amid a recent data breach.

According to the website, the US telecoms giant could keep data about “race, ethnicity, political affiliations, or philosophical beliefs.” Sensitive data also covers characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law such as ancestry, national origin, religion, age, mental and physical disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, or military status. She has also contributed to the Guardian and received training at the BBC As an audience, trends, and SEO specialist, she has participated in panel events alongside Google.
