Common misconceptions about the complexity in robotics vs AI
The former has way more unconscious processes involved than the latter and often requires more trial & error from the kid to finally “grasp” or “get” how to balance the bicycle, push the pedal and steer the wheel, for no better term. My point is only that due to our skewed understanding of what is a hard problem to solve, people might extrapolate the current impact of AI development in the wrong direction and therefore get anxious more than needed for different reasons. Thinking that an AI model that can mimic parts of the human cognitive process, with all the aforementioned factors required to make it work, to be able to also solve these hard tasks, is an unanswered question.
