Confirmed: Google Pixel phones in the US are switching to eSIM only (but there's an exception)
The Google Pixel 10 may look a lot like its predecessor, but there's a key hardware change a lot of users might not be aware of.
Traditional SIM cards -- familiar to most smartphone users -- are physical, removable chips associated with a single carrier and number. But as a whole, eSIM support across Android devices is an inconsistent patchwork based on different models and carriers. Google is now squarely at the forefront of eSIM support on Android, as its adoption on the Pixel 10 series goes to show.
