Cooldown Games launches as publisher of games for busy people


Cooldown Games announced its launch as a publisher of independent games for PC and console, with focus on games that fit in a busy lifestyle.

The studio is founded by seven people with industry experience at companies such as Gearbox, id Software and Warner Bros. Cooldown plans to focus its publishing efforts on premium titles that cater to gamers with busy lives who can only play certain amounts of time per day. The studio’s team includes CEO Steve Gibson, CPO Matt Charles, COO Jack Hardesty, CTO Jimmy Sieben, CMO Jeff Skal, CBO Erick Cobbs and CRO Brad Schliesser. Gibson said in a statement, “Our team is confident rational business models will be a long-term strength of Cooldown Games and that just might be a refreshing contrast from many recent industry trends.
