Crowdstrike Outage Causing Widespread Issues
Workers around the country have been locked out of their computers following a widespread IT outage on Friday afternoon.
Banks, airlines, miners and media companies have been hit with a global IT outage on Friday afternoon that brought down systems and locked workers out of their devices. Several companies appear to be hit, including Nine, Deloitte, Qantas and Woolworths. The fault is thought to be linked to a bad patch update provided by global cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike.
