Debian 13 "Trixie" Freeze Process Begins


The Debian release team announced that the Debian 13 'Trixie' transition and toolchain freeze began on-schedule this month.

One month later on 15 May the hard freeze for Debian 13 is expected. The full freeze is still to be determined along with ultimately when Debian 13.0 will be released. In the release team update sent out today, it also notes the release critical bugs for Trixie is trending lower and that is a good thing.
