Dell stuffed an enterprise-grade NPU into its new Pro Max Plus laptop
Dell just announced what could be the world's best laptop for on-device AI applications. The Pro Max Plus includes an enterprise-grade NPU.
The Pro Max Plus features the Qualcomm AI 100 PC Inference Card, making it the "world's first mobile workstation with an enterprise-grade discrete NPU." This is enough to directly handle the type of large AI models that typically require the cloud to run. Dell says this laptop is primarily intended for "AI engineers and data scientists," and so it's held off on announcing pricing.
