This also has all the usual limitations of one-time pads, you can only send data up to the size of the key, it doesn’t protect you from the text being corrupted, and it is malleable. We start by writing the actual size of the block, then the nonce and authentication tag (important for the AES-GCM usage), and then the encrypted message. Note that we also add a bit of additional space at the end, to confuse attempts to figure out values based on size (such as the BEAST attack).
