Doge is building a master database for immigration enforcement, sources say

Staffers from Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency are building a master database to speed-up immigration enforcement and deportations, by combining sensitive data from across the federal government, multiple sources familiar with the plans tell CNN.

In mid-March, a DOGE staffer working out of the Social Security Administration requested and was granted access to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services’ SAVE database, according to a court filing in the case. A senior IRS official said career employees inside the agency are concerned about the Trump administration bringing in Palantir to exploit troves of taxpayer data as part of their push to speed up deportations. Connolly said he’s “concerned that DOGE is moving personal information across agencies without the notification required under the Privacy Act or related laws, such that the American people are wholly unaware their data is being manipulated in this way.”
