DOGE Is in Its AI Era


In its push for “efficiency,” DOGE has leaned increasingly on AI—regardless of whether it makes any sense.

At the Department of Housing and Urban Development, a college undergrad has been tasked with using AI to find where HUD regulations may go beyond the strictest interpretation of underlying laws. This week, our flagship Uncanny Valley podcast talked about the dangerous decline in US vaccination rates and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s role in shaping US attitudes toward jabs. Prior to WIRED he was the editor in chief of the tech and culture site Gizmodo and was a business reporter for the Yomiuri Shimbun, Japan’s largest daily newspaper.
