Doge staffer's YouTube nickname accidentally revealed his teen hacking activity

Evidence of DOGE staffer’s proud history of hacking quickly deleted, report says.

After supposedly receiving a legal threat from a South Korean gaming company Nexon Co, he claimed in a 2010 post that "I no longer hack into Paypals, gain root access into other peoples computer (sic), or exploit online websites," Reuters reported. Co-founder of cybersecurity firm Trail of Bits, Dan Guido, told Reuters that Stanley targeting other hackers during this youthful period—like his hack of a rival game-cheating site that triggered a suspension from his ISP—may be a "mitigating" factor when weighing his alleged past wrongdoing. Under the cartoon, in response to critics razing centrists as posers, Stanley raises a defense against labeling people, which could be seen as a nod to his growth beyond his supposedly shady past, which stands now in contrast to a profile pic showing him smiling in front of a DOJ sign.
