We do that by allowing data teams to train an AI assistant on their company data, so users can chat with their business data in Slack, Teams or a web interface. At Dot, the main challenge is delivering correct and trustworthy answers quickly, while addressing a wide range of analytics questions. Your focus will be to push the boundaries of Dot’s engine to make it more reliable, more capable and faster. Your focus will not be on building data pipelines, but on helping develop Dot to automate analytics. Tech-Skills Must have: Python, SQL, Git Nice to have: dbt, prompt engineering In this role, you will Work on SOTA AI systems to create the future of analytics (software & prompt engineering, evals, synthesize data, fine-tuning, …) Be an early member of the team with significant influence on both the product and the company Collaborate in a modern development process with source control, testing, code review, continuous integration, code screening, bugs fixed before writing new code, agile planning Own features end-to-end, with the chance to develop your own solutions and engage directly with customers Have a significant equity stake in the company and own results of your work You may be a fit for this role if you Have a couple of years of data engineering or software development experience Have tinkered with building an AI agent, LLM workflow or evaluation Care deeply about users and want to help them solve their problems Prefer a calm, asynchronous, work style that gives you time and space to focus Want to work with people who are invested in your growth Take pride in shipping great work fast and find joy in seeing it used Are able to unblock yourself (e.g. by writing some front-end code) Have experience or a strong demonstrated interest in data analytics and LLMs Love learning and stepping-out-of-your-comfort-zone 🌍 The Dot team is inclusive and diverse.
