Dropbox adds new features to Dash, its AI-powered search tool

Dropbox has added new features to Dash, its AI-powered search tool, including new integrations with Slack and other third-party platforms.

The company is adding AI “understanding” of different types of content in Dash, which means users can search across audio, video, and images in addition to text. This year, it’s improving Dash’s enterprise tooling by adding support for IT admins to exclude some sensitive documents from the search results. The company said these tools, which live in Dash, can collate information from email, meeting notes, and existing documents to create project plans, memos, or briefs.
