Signed on Monday by California Governor Gavin Newsom, it prevents schools from imposing rules requiring teachers to disclose changes to a student’s gender identity without their permission and prohibits retaliation against teachers who refuse to out a student, reports the Los Angeles Times. He also transferred Tesla’s headquarters to Texas in 2021 after California health officials shut down his Fremont factory during the covid pandemic.
