Elon Musk says a 'massive cyberattack' is to blame for X being down

X suffered significant outages on Monday, with owner Elon Musk pinning the blame on an attack by a 'large, coordinated group and/or a country.'

“It’s difficult to be certain, but given the pattern of three observed outages, a denial service attack targeting X’s infrastructure can’t be ruled out,” Isik Mater, director of research at NetBlocks, which tracks internet connectivity around the world, told the outlet. Sarah Wynn-Williams, a former global policy director for Facebook, detailed the company's attempts to operate in China in a 78-page SEC complaint seen by The Washington Post. According to Bloomberg, the smart home product has been postponed due to the delayed arrival of Apple's Siri upgrade.
