Elon Musk wants to charge new users for posting on X
Elon Musk seemed to confirm rumors that X, formerly Twitter, would make new users pay to post. He says such a move would be meant to thwart bot accounts.
Most notably, users can now pay for blue checkmark verification, which had been granted free by Twitter staff to celebrities, journalists, and other public figures after confirming their verified identities.
