Elon Musk's xAI is paying Telegram $300 million to integrate Grok AI
Starting this summer Telegram users will be able to use Grok for a year.
"Elon Musk and I have agreed to a 1-year partnership to bring xAI’s Grok to our billion+ users and integrate it across all Telegram apps," Durov wrote on his X Post. Durov confirmed that Elon Musk's xAI will pay Telegram $300 million in cash and equity, plus 50% of the revenue generated from AI subscriptions sold through the messaging platform, as part of their partnership. The Telegram multi-messaging platform is free to download and use, but those who want to support the company and get access to some exclusive features and functions can sign up for the Premium tier for a fee.
