Esports World Cup locks in ESL Faceit Group operations deal
ESL Faceit Group and the Esports World Cup have signed a multi-year deal to operate the $60M mega tournament in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
“Esports World Cup is one of the most ambitious new global sports events to ever take place,” said Craig Levine, co-CEO of ESL Faceit Group. Additionally, ESL Faceit Group has worked closely with the Esports World Cup Foundation to develop its global marketing strategy and product proposition. The Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund-owned Savvy Games Group acquired EFG’s constituent companies for $1.5 billion in January 2022.
