The European Union Intellectual Property Office ( EUIPO) regularly conducts studies to see how piracy develops over time. Previously, research commissioned by Audiovisual Anti-Piracy Alliance (AAPA), estimated that 4.5% of the EU population used pirate IPTV services in 2021. A copy of the “Online Copyright Infringement in the European union title-level study: Film, Music, Publications, Software and TV (2017-2023)” report, is available here (pdf).
