Eventual (YC W22) Is Hiring a Developer Relations Manager for Daft (SF)
ABOUT EVENTUAL Eventual is a data platform that helps data scientists and engineers build data applications across ETL, analytics and ML/AI. OUR PRODUCT IS OPEN-SOURCE AND USED AT ENTERPRISE SCALE Our distributed data engine Daft https://www.getdaft.io/ is open-sourced and runs on 800k CPU cores daily. This is more compute than Frontier, the world's largest supercomputer! Today's data tooling (Spark, Presto, Snowflake) was built for a world of tabular data analytics, but does not generalize to the needs of modern ML/AI such as multimodal data, heterogenous compute and user-defined Python algorithms. Eventual and Daft bridge that gap, making ML/AI workloads easy to run alongside traditional tabular workloads. WE'RE GROWING - COME GROW WITH US! Our team has deep expertise in high performance computing, big data technologies, cloud infrastructure and machine learning. Our team members have previously worked in top technology companies such as AnyScale, Tesla and Lyft. We are looking for exceptional individuals with a passion for technology and a strong sense of intellectual curiosity. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Build and maintain relationships with Eventual's developer community through online channels, events, and conferences - Create technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, and documentation, to help developers understand and adopt Eventual's technology - Build proof-of-concept applications and demos showcasing Daft’s capabilities and integration with popular LLM frameworks - Deliver presentations and workshops to educate and inspire developers about Eventual's offerings - Engage with customers and users to gather feedback, identify pain points, and surface opportunities for improvement - Monitor and contribute to relevant online communities, forums, and social media channels - Represent Eventual at industry events, meetups, and hackathons to evangelize our technology and build brand awareness - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Eventual's technology, competitive landscape, and target developer personas REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: - 3+ years experience in developer relations, developer advocacy or similar role - 2+ years software development experience, with Python - Background in open source software development and communities - Exceptional technical writing and verbal communication skills - Ability to build trust and nurture relationships across teams and communities - Self-motivated with a passion for exploring new technologies - Based in SF Bay Area DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: - Public speaking experience at major tech conferences/events - Network and relationships with influencers and thought leaders in the AI/ML space - Experience with developer marketing, product marketing, or go-to-market strategies - Understanding of AI/ML model training, optimization, deployment - Ability to code in Python and Bash If that sounds like you, please reach out even if you don't see a specific role listed that matches your skillsets - we'd love to chat!
