Fable gets a 2025 release window at the Xbox Games Showcase

Playground's new Fable game got a new story and character reveal -- and 2025 release window -- in its Xbox Games Showcase trailer.

The game takes place in the familiar setting of Albion, though the quest appears to follow new characters. The main character is a retired adventurer named Humphry, who is called back into the fray when a former hero returns as a villain. The gameplay description implies a return to the series’ signature reputation-based gameplay, as the product page says, “With a dark threat looming, and in a world where your reputation precedes you, your choices will change Albion forever.”
