Facebook, Instagram, and Threads are down

The outage spans Meta’s biggest apps.

Downdetector is showing big and sudden spikes for Facebook, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram with a lot of people affected by the outages. On the Instagram Downdetector page, for example, there have been more than 23,000 reports of issues with the platform, indicating that this is a massive and widespread problem.
