Fake Biden robocall tells voters to skip New Hampshire primary election

An investigation is opened into the calls, which are suspected to have been artificially generated.

To recipients, the robocalls falsely appeared to be coming from the personal mobile phone number of a former state Democratic chairwoman, Kathy Sullivan, who helps run a pro-Biden political group in New Hampshire. Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez criticised the call as an attempt to "suppress voting and deliberately undermine free and fair elections". Though Mr Biden's name will not appear on the New Hampshire primary ballot, a campaign led by state and local Democrats has taken shape for voters to write in his name.
