Fed Up With Instagram? How to Move Your Photos to Pixelfed
You can keep your Instagram posts and host them somewhere other than Meta.
If you're no longer enamored of Instagram -- or Meta overall following its recent decision to abandon its fact-checking program and to stop blocking misinformation-- you may have investigated image sharing alternatives such as Glass, foto(currently in beta) or even the photo OG Flickr. However, in my testing the link in the email was set to open the Instagram app, which then threw up an error both on my desktop computer and my phone. Repeat the process above if you have more than 100 photos -- the importer skips the ones already added, so you can click Select first 100 posts again and get a fresh batch.
