Fedora's Modern OS Installer UI Working Well & Expanding Scope Before Deprecating GTK UI


The long-in-development web-based user interface for the Anaconda installer used by Fedora (and Red Hat Enterprise Linux) continues maturing well and expanding its usage before eventually seeing the Anaconda GTK-based UI deprecated in the future.

The long-in-development web-based user interface for the Anaconda installer used by Fedora (and Red Hat Enterprise Linux) continues maturing well and expanding its usage before eventually seeing the Anaconda GTK-based UI deprecated in the future. The Fedora / Red Hat Anaconda team put out a progress update and roadmap update today on the Fedora Community Blog. Further out past the Fedora 43 plans, for Fedora 44 next year the hope is shipping the Anaconda WebUI for uBlue, Atomic Desktops, and remote browser support.
