Finally upgrading from isc-dhcp-server to isc-kea for my homelab


Migrating didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would—and dynamic DNS still works!

It's kind of a broccoli upgrade, where you know it's good for you and you know you should do it, but it's just not fun or sexy, and it doesn't necessarily add anything new to the ol' homelab's functionality. Change is scary, and isc-dhcp-server has been a constant companion for more than a decade of home sysadmin adventures, but there is something to be said about living on the safe side of the support curve.
