Football superstar Haaland becomes first real person to appear in one of the world’s most popular games

Manchester City star Erling Haaland is set to appear as the Barbarian King in Clash of Clans, one of the most popular games in the world.

Stuart McGaw, Clash of Clans General Manager, said: “When we heard Erling Haaland was a fan of our game and that he wanted to partner with us, it was really a dream scenario. It now opens the doors to see other real-world celebrities join the fray in the hugely lucrative mobile gaming space. Having spent time as Head of Communications at a professional sports club and working for high-profile charities such as the National Literacy Trust, he returned as Managing Editor in charge of large US-based technology websites in 2020.
