Form’s smart swimming goggles get refined for 2024
The Smart Swim 2 is smaller, has optical heart rate monitoring and a live compass.
The addition of the heart rate sensor (which the company says has been tweaked to work well in water) has shaved down the battery life down to 12 hours from 16. It bought Recon, among other wearables companies, with the smart business strategy of… running them all into the ground before cutting its losses a few years later. If you’re in the pool, you can then select its length from a list of standard options and press start, with the headwear tracking your motion automatically.
