Framework 13 AMD Review on Linux: Almost Perfect

Framework 13 AMD Review on Linux: Almost Perfect

As usual the packaging of Framework is very classy - taking hints on Apple for the simplicity, and giving ample focus on the fact that this is a laptop that is made to be opened, upgraded, and maintained by the end user. There are almost no CPU related settings, and the main option that will be of interest is how much RAM you dedicate to the integrated GPU - with the gaming mode you can ensure it has more memory to work with, which should result in better framerates. Everything works out of the box as expected, no weird driver issues in my experience, and the only potential drawback is the suspend consuming too much energy for my liking, but that’s less of a problem now that the battery has a larger capacity.
