Geico insists it ‘has coverage’ for the Cybertruck after owners complain of dropped policies

Gieco told some it’s “unable to continue” coverage.

The speculation reached a fever pitch this weekend when Torque News reported about a specific case of a Cybertruck owner being informed by Geico that his policy was being terminated. One owner said he received a letter from Geico informing him that the insurance company would be “unable to continue” coverage for his Cybertruck because “this type of vehicle does not meet our underwriting guidelines.” Some other recalls needed physical repairs, including faulty wipers, loose trim, and jammed accelerator pedals that Tesla fixed by installing a rivet.
