Gen Z players are highly engaged and looking for new games | Newzoo
Newzoo's latest Global Gamer Study report shows that Gen Z players are some of the most engaged, and many are also seeking new games to play.
Newzoo recently released its Global Gamer Study for the year, where it reports its findings on the different generations of consumers and how they engage with the games industry. Out of the 73,000 global gamers surveyed, those who self-identify as Gens Z and Alpha both report they prefer playing open world games that they can explore as well as deep and interesting stories. According to ZBD’s study of Gen Z gamers, they seek out platforms such as Instagram, YouTube and TikTok to engage with gaming-related content and many are willing to make in-game purchases and to engage with non-gaming brands if they make forays into gaming.
