Some schools are addressing this gap by introducing typing competitions and formal instruction when students receive Chromebooks. Canvas, an online learning platform, reports that 39% of student assignments between March and May were uploaded from mobile devices, contrasting sharply with teachers who completed over 90% of their work on computers.
