Generative Erase comes to Windows and lets you use AI to remove unwanted features


Microsoft are stepping up their AI capabilities for Windows, with new Generative Erase tool announced for photos.

Announced on Thursday (Feb. 22) on the Microsoft Windows blog, the team has shared how you can now “fix and remove distractions from your photos, like background objects and miscellaneous visual clutter.” Compared to the previous version, this update is said to create a more ‘seamless and realistic result.’ Other recent releases include the ability to blur or completely replace the background with AI. Heading straight into a regional newsroom, after graduating with a BA (Hons) degree in Journalism, Sophie started by working for Reach PLC.
