GNOME Mutter 49 Beta Released With Pointer Warp Protocol, Wayland Fixes

The GNOME 49 Mutter beta release is now available for testing ahead of the stable release of GNOME 49 coming up In September.

Wayland changes in Mutter 49 beta include implementing the wl_fixes interface, creating a MetaWaylandClient for every Wayland client (wl_client), and implementing support for the pointer warp protocol. Mutter is only allowing pointer warping while an implicit grab is held. Support for wl_fixes in Mutter had been open since last July and only merged now for the upcoming GNOME 49 release.
