Google Gemini: Everything you need to know about the generative AI models

Wondering what all the fuss is about Gemini, Google's next-gen generative AI model family? Here's a handy roundup to get you up to speed.

After you prompt the chatbot, it creates a multi-step research plan, asks you to approve it, and then Gemini takes a few minutes to search the web and generate an extensive report based on your query. Google’s AI chatbot recently came to Maps, where Gemini can summarize reviews about coffee shops or offer recommendations about how to spend a day visiting a foreign city. For example, Pro (along with other Gemini models) can be instructed to use data from third-party providers like Moody’s, Thomson Reuters, ZoomInfo and MSCI, or source information from corporate datasets or Google Search instead of its wider knowledge bank.
