For now, I was only told that Starline's light-field technology was "a new way to compute" that didn't involve traditional GPUs, rasterizers, or other similar methods of virtually rendering a scene. Forget those terrible cutouts you see on a Zoom call; these were moving, authentic-looking backgrounds that seamlessly blended the person into them, even creating real-time shadows and other effects to make it even more convincing.
