Google may finally launch a new Home speaker after 5 years - here's the clue
Did Google just accidentally show us its next Home speaker?
In the video, the new speaker looks like a slightly flattened Echo Dot, with a band along the base that lit up blue when Norris interacted with Gemini. Like an Echo speaker, it appears to be covered in fabric, and sources say it will be available in four colors: white, bright red, light green, and black. This update is expected to roll out in an early access phase in October, so the smart speaker could be announced around that time, unless Google decides to wait until the spring.
