Google Messages may gain more privacy options with Profile discovery


Latest APK findings reveal Google Messages adding new privacy options to profile discovery.

This comes from folks at Android Authority, who have discovered additional privacy features in their APK teardown of the latest Google Messages v20241010 beta version of the app. However, new findings from the teardown give users some privacy options, like the ability to show their name and profile picture to People you message, only your contacts, or no one. Now that the privacy options have surfaced in the latest Google Messages beta app, the feature will likely be officially released soon since they appear to already be available on a , unless the search giant has other plans.
