Google proposes alternative remedies for its search monopoly after DOJ demands radical changes

Google filed a proposal on Friday night hitting back at the DOJ's proposed remedies, which include the sale of Chrome.

Google said it plans to appeal the judge’s decision ahead of a hearing in April, and will submit a revised proposal on March 7. In the blog post, Mulholland called the DOJ’s proposal “overboard,” going on to write that it reflects an “interventionist agenda” and “goes far beyond what the Court’s decision is actually about — our agreements with partners to distribute search.” It's been three years since the last James Bond film and may take even longer to get the next one thanks to a feud between Amazon and the franchise's longtime producer Barbara Broccoli.
