Google says it is obligated to disclose confidential info to U.S. government


Google informs users about its obligation to share confidential data with U.S. authorities, raising privacy concerns and highlighting big tech's data security issues.

A notable example is when Elon Musk took over Twitter and exposed a lot of government regulation and access to user data. I received an email today August 6the 2024 from Google, notifying me of its obligation to the United States government to share confidential data. Government agencies from around the United States ask Google to produce documents in a way that may disclose customer information.
