Andhra Pradesh aims to significantly expand its data center capacity, targeting 6GW over the next five years and establishing new cable landing stations. Citing Andhra Pradesh government sources, news agency Reuters reported that the colossal data centre, slated for construction in Visakhapatnam, includes a $2 billion investment specifically for renewable energy capacity to power the facility. Alphabet, Google's parent company, had previously affirmed its commitment in April to spend around $75 billion this year on building data centre capacity, despite prevailing economic uncertainties.
