Europe's top court on Tuesday upheld a 2.4 billion euro ($2.65 billion) fine imposed on Google for abusing its dominant position by favoring its own shopping comparison service. The commission said at the time that Google had favored its own shopping comparison service over those of its rivals. "We are disappointed with the decision of the Court," a Google spokesperson told CNBC on Tuesday. Our approach has worked successfully for more than seven years, generating billions of clicks for more than 800 comparison shopping services."
