New AI prototypes built atop its latest model, Gemini 2.0.

One shelf stood slightly askew, and behind it was a hidden room that had three TVs displaying famous artworks: Edvard Munch’s The Scream, Georges Seurat’s Sunday Afternoon, and Hokusai’s The Great Wave off Kanagawa. These include improving Astra’s understanding of various accents and uncommon words; giving it up to 10 minutes of in-session memory and reducing latency; and integrating it into a few Google products like Search, Lens, and Maps. Google CEO Sundar Pichai defines them in today’s press release as models that “can understand more about the world around you, think multiple steps ahead, and take action on your behalf, with your supervision.”
