Google’s AI plans now include cybersecurity
Google Threat Intelligence also includes Mandiant’s expertise.
The new product uses the Gemini 1.5 Pro large language model, which Google says reduces the time needed to reverse engineer malware attacks. Mandiant provides human experts who monitor potentially malicious groups and consultants who work with companies to block attacks. Google bought Mandiant, the cybersecurity company that uncovered the 2020 SolarWinds cyber attack against the US federal government, in 2022.
