Google’s Hugging Face deal puts ‘supercomputer’ power behind open-source AI

Hugging Face users don’t need to pay again for Google Cloud.

Google Cloud’s new partnership with AI model repository Hugging Face is letting developers build, train, and deploy AI models without needing to pay for a Google Cloud subscription. Valued at $4.5 billion, Hugging Face has seen Google, Amazon, Nvidia, and others help raise $235 million over the last year.
