Highrise passes $250M revenue milestone by empowering player creation
Highrise announced that its raised $250 million in revenue across its marketplaces, in part from sales of player-created items.
Highrise’s Ideas program allows users to submit “napkin doodles” of in-game cosmetics such as wigs, clothing and accessories in an open contest. Anton Bernstein, CEO of Pocket Worlds, said in a statement, “We created Highrise to be a safe, accessible, and exciting space for self-expression. As the name suggests, Studio offers a set of user-friendly development tools enabling players to build in Unity and then deploy their creations into Highrise with a single click.
