Hisense is launching a $999 CanvasTV as a cheaper rival to Samsung’s Frame


Samsung might have some competition.

Hisense is launching the CanvasTV, a matte television designed to display artwork and photos, letting it blend in with the rest of your decor when not in use. Last year, Hisense showed off its frame-equipped before launching the matte, 55-inch Art TV R7 in China with a detachable stand.
